The players from Saridee and match officials, as required by the competition rules, waited for 15 minutes. As there were only four players from Darul Affiah present, the match was called off and, as per the rules, Saridee were awarded the match with a 3-0 score. Darul Affiah will also have to face the competition committee for their absence. A competition committee member said it was an unfortunate incident.
“Darul Affiah have a good reputation in the Football Association of Selangor league. But due to some internal problems, they were unable to get their players together for the match against Saridee. We hope to see them back at their best soon,” said the member.
