It was Nurul Sahira’s biggest achievement in her netball career. “All the women in my family play netball and it was natural for me to take up the sport. My elder sister Nurul Izzati, 20, played for the district but did not go any further. But she inspired me to take up the sport and excel in it.
“When I was age 10, I picked up the sport as it was fun. “I began liking it because netball keeps every player close together, making us more like sisters than players in one team. “This is a soft sport and only played by girls. Netball is a fun game because it has very strict rules.”
Coach Saidatul Erni Saiful Bohari said Nurul Sahira was a dedicated and talented player. “She wants to become a better player and improve on her game. Her talent has attracted coaches from the state to also pick her to represent the district and state in school competitions,” she said. “Standing at 1.68m, Nurul Sahira is indeed an asset to the team,” she added.
