Conlay, who outclassed UiTM Lions 35-8 in the decider, were also finalists in 2011 and had reached the semi-finals of the Super League last year as well as in their debut season in 2010.
"All the hard work we have put in over the years has finally paid off by winning the Super League title," said Hisham.
"The league does not get any easier each year. Our boys were tremendous throughout the season and really deserved to win, especially after we had often faced disappointment over the past four years.
"Team spirit and work ethics carried us through many matches and this clearly was the difference between us and UiTM Lions in the final."
Hisham, however, added that the team will not be satisfied by anything less than a win in the Super Cup which starts next week.
Conlay, Lions and SSTMI, the Super League's top three finishers, and East Malaysian representatives Borneo Eagles will vie for the Super Cup title.
"We will not be taking it easy as we have to start preparing for the Super Cup now. We want to carry our form into the tournament.
"When we play we always aim to win. We never set a target of just making the semis or final.
"We want to make it a double this season by winning the Super Cup, even though we know it will be tough."
