Hasihin, winner of a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics, also picked up two bronze medals from the men’s Recurve W2 and mixed Recurve event partnering Nor Saadah. The accomplishment, however, failed to match the two-gold medal feat, achieved through Zulkifli Mat Zin and Nor Saadah Abd Wahab in the previous edition that was also held in Bangkok, last year.
Coach Mohamad Noor Affizzan Khairulzaim said the National archers started off well by giving their more illustrious opponents from Thailand and Ukraine, a tough challenge. “Considering the high level of competition and the domination of Thailand and Ukraine, our young archers did well,” he said. Malaysia sent 14 archers to the competition which offers ranking points for archers to establish their positions in the world ranking list. — Bernama
